Sex and the Single Girl - 1964

The movie "Sex and the Single Girl" was calling to me - mostly because I have enjoyed many a Cosmo article in my days - but also because I hadn't seen a movie with Natalie Wood recently - and frankly, I think she's beautiful.

In this movie, Natalie Wood's character, Helen Gurley Brown is a woman who just wrote a very controversial book. The book was primarily about a single girl and how her world revolves around the choices she makes about sex. It also promoted the fact that girls shouldn't be afraid to like sex. Tony Curtis plays a gentleman who owns a magazine that publishes a scathing review about Brown's book. Curtis tries to get closer to Wood's character and ends up falling in love with her.

There were some cute moments in this movie, but I feel like I expected it to be better than it actually was. It had it's drawbacks too...a few moments where I was a little confused about who knew what and who was who - but it was a good 1960's era comedy if everyone was a little confused about the who, what, when and why.
