It's a rare occasion when I see a documentary that practically bores me. This would be one of those documentaries. It's not that I didn't enjoy the subject matter - in fact, spelunking has always interested me. It was all about the way it was presented. Heck, I even delayed writing about it because it just left me so non-plussed.
Journey Into Amazing Caves takes you on a trip into a couple of caves. As I read that sentence I ask myself why that would be interesting. In 40 minutes, you go into TWO caves. Plus watch a couple of cavers go swimming. Yep, that's about the size of it.
The most interesting part was the discussion of the search for organisms that help create medicines. But they really didn't go into much detail about what types of diseases they have been able to stave off with said medicines. This one was just an all-around let down. IMDB has a very HIGH rating on this one - which surprises me. Take my advice and skip it.
