Uncle Buck - 1989

I forgot to blog about this on Tuesday, but I totally watched it on Monday. :)

John Candy is one of my few favorite actors - I have watched a couple of John Candy movies since starting this blog, and Uncle Buck is another one of those movies I think back on with a smile.

John Candy plays "Uncle Buck" in this movie - a ner-do-well man without a steady job living a commitment-free life. His brother's wife's father (yeah, confusing, I know) has a heart attack and suddenly Buck is thrust into the position of BABYSITTER with no notice.

The children (two nieces and one nephew) live in a very comfortable house in the suburbs and struggle with age-related problems. Buck manages not to hurt anyone and get through the babysitting job a lot wiser. He decides commitment isn't such a bad thing.
