Jennifer Lopez is a wedding planner? Really? Sorry, but I find this movie soooo unbelievable. I tried to believe it – and she DID look beautiful, but I can’t help but see a singer and dancer masquerading as a wedding planner.
Matthew McConnagey as the groom-to-be, well, I realize that we have to suspend disbelief that he’s this saint married to a beautiful woman who’s actually evil and falls in love with the wedding planner who’s never been married and then puts her through hell forcing her to plan and organize a wedding for someone she realizes (too late) is actually supposed to marry someone else. AND she still manages to LIKE him after all that? Really?
All that said, I loved the scenery and the tasteful wedding décor (which all these years later still looks incredible) and of course the story IS timeless – girl falls in love with un-attainable boy, un-attainable boy is actually miserable with current girl and actually likes other girl better. I just feel like it could have been executed much better.
