(For Saturday 7/9) Arsenic and Old Lace - 1944

Dear HEAVENS, this is one of the BEST movies I have seen period - let alone one of the best I have seen during this movie experiment! Mix in some Cary Grant and some adorable female love interest named Priscilla Lane and add in some criminal activity by sweet little old ladies, an entire family with mental health problems and a deadly visit from a brother and you have the perfect recipe for MURDER, MAYHEM and MERRIMENT!

Grant plays confirmed bachelor Mortimer Brewster. Mortimer finally decides to let a girl get him to the alter. That would be Lane playing Elaine Harper. Well, just as they get ready to head out to their honeymoon in Niagara Falls, Mortimer discovers his elderly aunts have been systematically killing single lonely men one by one from their comfortable Victorian home.

You'll laugh and start at the different moments as they pass before your eyes. Family friendly, excellent movie making at it's best. All in all, it doesn't get much better than this.
