So Emmy conned me into watching this. There's not much to say besides IT REALLY SUCKED.
It was a struggle for me to sit through 5 minutes of this movie, let alone two hours - which I might add included about 35 minutes of NICKELODEON commercials.
Oooooh it was just unbearable. The voice of the kid named Lucas playing Fred? I just wanted to find any way I could to shut him up the first ten minutes and then I spent the next hour and forty minutes trying to figure out how to get my ears stop bleeding. Okay, okay...I kid...a little.
Anyway, the story behind the movie is more interesting than the plot of the movie itself. The plot is simply that Fred likes a girl and isn't sure she likes him back. Also, there's a foe involved. That's about it. The story BEHIND the movie is that kid show-director-producer Brian Robbins (from Head of the Class fame) optioned the movie as a made-for-tv movie in order to have a built-in-audience for the SECOND movie (if there IS a second movie). The movie opened to the largest audience for a kids movie in 2010 - over 11 million tuned in for the big opening. Which just goes to show you that I apparently know NOTHING about movies. :)

Tee hee hee...you got suckered in! Oh my gosh, the trailer alone for the movie had me wanting to rip out my hair so I knew there was no way that I was going to ever watch it! Fortunately my girls don't care for Fred all that much so they don't want to see the movie! Can you hear me singing the Hallelujah Chorus?!? :)
