I heard about this documentary a few months ago and I couldn't wait until to came on the Netflix instant queue!
Babies is a documentary following the birth and early development of four children across the world. There were two boys and two girls, the cities were San Fransisco, Namibia, Mongolia and Tokyo. There was a very distinct difference between the children in Tokyo and the San Fransisco and the other two less urban countries.
Some of the charming moments included watching the children start reaching for things, watching them get mobile, watching the parents teach them songs and watching them eventually take their first steps and start growing from baby to toddler.
It was truly a fantastic representation of life around the world and I watched it with my 9 year old and I was impressed how many doors it opened to discussions about her own childhood - and mine too. This is absolutely a good viewing option for the whole family.
