This was touted as being this "fantastic" in depth look into the science of canines, but I was left unimpressed.
Apart from them going over and over about how man has evolved dogs exactly the way they want them to - based on how loud their bark should be and how long a snout they should have and how great a hunting companion they can be - well, I just felt as though we would be learning MORE about what it's like to be a dog. How they think...what they hear...what they see. I was looking forward to that and it never actually came up.
I suppose I appreciate the fact that it was *a* scientific study about how man has frankensteinishly created their ideal dog for years now, but as far as documentaries go, this one was pretty week.
