Harvey - 1950

Harvey? The heck you say! Does it get any better than Jimmy Stewart? COULD it get any better than Jimmy Stewart? No. I don't think it can.

You see, they don't make leading men like they used to. Collin Firth. There's an example of a man who wishes he was a Jimmy Stewart. All face, no substance. No real chops, man. Collin Firth would run away sniveling if an alive-today Jimmy Stewart popped up. There's just no denying it - Jimmy Stewart = greatness.

Harvey is a movie about a rabbit. And not just ANY rabbit. Harvey is a movie about an invisible 6-foot tall rabbit. Oh, and Elwood Dowd - the man who dreamed him up. Well, HE didn't think he dreamed him up. He's convinced Harvey is real.

After Elwood Dowd survives a well-intentioned attempt at forced-funny-farmery, he immediately forgives his sister for trying to do it and and series of strange events helps Elwood create the perfect situation for romance, family coming back together as far as Elwood forgiving his sister for trying to get him committed and even Harvey makes a few friends along the way.

Good for people of all ages!
