National Geographic: Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure - 2007

This documentary covered some interesting data found in a field in Kansas.

HOW often will I ever type THAT sentence again!?

Really though, it did. Back in prehistoric times, apparently Kansas was covered in water and sea life. The most intriguing part in my opinion was watching how the fabulous fish-within-a-fish fossil was found in the 1950's. I remember sitting in school and studying about that. And it was found in Kansas? Totally cool!

The coolest part about this was that the animation and graphics were really excellent. I could almost believe I was watching the years that elapsed LIVE and IN PERSON! :) Well, okay, maybe not QUITE. But these National Geographic documentaries offer so much in the way of simple education about interesting things. And if Science isn't your strong suit, good news - you don't really feel overwhelmed with that in this documentary.
