Ghost Ship - 2002

Blech. How many reviews start out like that? Not many. This one deserves it though. I had such high hopes for the movie. I mean, ghosts, secrets, murder - I am all about the mysteries! But this one REALLY disapointed me.

Basically this crew aboard a salvage ship locates a missing boat which they board and then decide to tow back with them. The rule of the sea allows them to take it since it was just floating in international waters. The group will soon start wishing they never found the floating nightmare.

As they start to search the ship, they find dead bodies and gold. They also find that they're losing the crew one member at a time because *something* is still on the ship - and it doesn't appreciate the fact that someone else is trying to take over.

There's a LOT of blood and gore and just all-out gross in this movie. I really don't recommend it, because there could have been a lot more MYSTERY and INTREGUE and a lot less ketchup and laytex. Ew. Oh yeah, the end sucks.
