So don't laugh - yes, I actually watched this movie.
The Secret is basically based on several things that I actually already impart a great deal into my daily life: Envision something you want, Be certain with every part of you that it WILL happen, Believe it already has happened - and if you do these things, it will happen. It's really centered around positive energy and how to make it work for you in your life.
Frankly, some people will always believe this is a bunch of hooey. Others will go to their graves saying that this system works for them. For me, I guess I have always just believed that my fate lays within my own hands, my own grasp. It's up to me to make things I want happen and if I sit around and wait for it to happen, it never will.
I guess the most positive thing I took with me from this movie was a more firm belief that the ideals I have already put into practice in my life are something others believe in too. If you feel like you need to have a better outlook on your life, if you feel like you could use a little more "I can become anything I want to be" in your life, if you feel like you are always treading water and trying in vain to make your dreams happen - then you would benefit from this movie. If you've already got the world by a string, save your time.
