One of the niftiest things about having a child is watching them discover the world around them and come to conclusions that give you the idea that you actually ARE raising them right.
That being said, experiencing something like watching a movie YOU saw when you were young becomes like watching it again for the first time. Watching "Big" with Emmy last night was just like that. She held the pillow around her...tossed her stuffed panda across the room when Josh (Tom Hanks) acted like a goober in front of a bunch of adults and yelled back at the screen. She covered her eyes when he kissed someone and she just absolutely loved the entire movie.
The plot of the movie Big has been done and re-done. Somehow though, few have seen the success that Big had and continues to have. If you haven't watched it in a while, it will bring back pleasant thoughts of the 80's when video games and data entry were "new-fangled" and "odd" hobbies to have. Shots of New York City's seedier past will make you cringe a little and the fantasies of a little boy in a big boy's body will make you smile and believe in wonder and imagination again.
