Caddyshack - 1980

Caddyshack stars one of my top 5 favorite actors - Bill Murray. I don't always agree with what he does with his personal life, and he kind of seems like he might be a jerk in REAL life, but I cannot get enough of him. I love early SNL episodes with him and I love Groundhog Day (Ned? Ned RYERSON!!!???) and I love love love Lost in Translation - in fact, I will probably watch it during the next 340 days. :)

The story surrounds a young caddy (played by Michael O'Keefe) and an older judge (played by Ted Knight) and a developer (played by Rodney Dangerfield) and a entrepreneur (played by Chevy Chase). A golfing contest arises between the developer and the judge and the caddy ends up playing on the team with the developer AGAINST the judge (who was working towards getting the caddy a scholarship) and ends up giving him a run for his money.

The back story - or in this case, the SIDE story, is that the grounds keeper (Bill Murray) for the country club where the contest takes place, is setting up for WWIII for the groundhogs terrorizing the golf course. We see him using plastics and dynamite and all sorts of explosives. The final scenes involve some pretty epic firestorms!
