Sky High - 2005

Sky High is one of those Superhero movies that was made for children more than adults, but can be enjoyed equally by both. The lessons of good vs. evil was certainly there, but actually more lessons about how to act when the going gets rough.

Will Stronghold is the son of two superheros known by everyone who knows who a superhero is. His parents are really pretty busy saving the universe from danger and often too busy to notice that Will's having a difficult time growing up. Will starts high school at Sky High - a special high school in the clouds for kids who are heroes and sidekicks.

Will and his friends go through the "sorting process" of who is a hero and who is a sidekick. He and his friends end up sidekicks - most because they deserve it, although his best friend Layla is actually pretty powerful, but bucks the system and Will just hasn't found his power yet. Soon Will finds out he's very VERY strong and gets transferred to the "hero" course - the sidekicks remain behind - most wishing they could have moved up with Will.

One conniving person pretending to be a high school student starts using Will to hatch her schemes and find a way to take over ALL the heroes and sidekicks. Whether or not she succeeds depends on Will and his friends and if they can band together again as a team to defeat the enemy.
