(For Sunday 2/27) Star Trek Nemisis - 2002

It's funny...even now, a couple of days later, I write this review and still shake my head and widen my eyes at the thought of the love scene between Riker and Troi.
I guess I am getting ahead of myself a little, but YIKES. I am just not accustomed to Star Trek focusing on sex. But again, I digress.

Nemesis is basically a honeymoon gone wrong for Riker and Troi - as the crew of the enterprise is diverted to a Romulan planet where the efforts to achieve peace are being heralded, but deep down some very questionable things are going on. There's a clone of Jean Luc that lives there and insists on peace but soon the crew find that he might be undermining the very kindness that he claims he wants to achieve.

As far as the Riker/Troi relationship goes, I actually felt a little like I was seeing a family member in bed with another. Ewwww. Really uncomfortable - and thank goodness Emmy was in another room. Yes. It was that intense. I highly recommend you skip this one if the kiddos are watching. It got a PG-13 rating.
